About the Artist

Meet Kelly Brewer
Contemporary Impressionist Painter
As an impressionistic oil painter with a deep passion for art, my journey as an artist has been lifelong. From my early days of sketching and painting as a child to studying art history at the University of North Carolina, I have always been drawn to art. My artistic path has been both unconventional and fulfilling. I did not go to art school, but I have had the pleasure of working and studying alongside brilliant artists all over the country through workshops and collaborative experiences.
My artistic inspiration stems from the beauty of nature and people. I am constantly inspired by the ever-changing qualities of light and its capacity to evoke emotion even from the most ordinary--trucks, cows, barns. Common subjects we see every day can be transformed into something magical.
The human story is the most moving of all, and I am grateful for the support and encouragement from family, friends, fellow artists, subjects, and collectors over the past two decades.
I continue to paint and learn, each brushstroke adding to my artistic evolution. For me, art is lifelong journey of discovery and creativity, one I do not take for granted. Every day, I am thankful for the opportunity to work and live as an artist, embracing the endless possibilities that art me and our world.
